Jill MacKenzie is the founder and CEO of Jenson Beauty Academy.
From side hustle to profitable reality, Jill beat the odds when she took her beauty business from a handful of clients, to successfully owning two salons. With the odds stacked against her, raising a newborn at 17, whilst working a full time 9-5, Jill is the epitome of hard work & following your passion.
Now, having accumulated over 25 years of experience within the beauty industry and feeling impassioned by the joy of running two successful salons, Jill founded Jenson Beauty Academy in order to educate other ambitious women eager to enter the beauty business.
After a consistent struggle to find employees that matched her standards of perfection and finding that local college teaching methods were out - dated, Jill created the academy so as to fast-track others success and encourage higher standards to improve the industry as a whole. Jill offers a range of online courses and 1:1 coaching to take beauty entrepreneurs from start up to salon ready in no time.

Hi, I’ve been in the nail industry for 17 years,
I trained when I was 16 with CND. Since then I worked with Nails Inc for 8 years, where I was a mentor in training and lucky enough to do many celebrities nails also! After that I became self employed and have enjoyed running my own business doing clients in Dunfermline for the past 9 years, I am now Qualified in level 3 Nail Education. I enjoy keeping up with the fast paced trends and nail art,
I’m so excited to be joining Jenson and to provide you all with the vital knowledge and tools to become the best nail technician possible with all my hints and tips I have picked up along the years! Look forward to seeing you on one of our courses in the future!
